Applicability Dates: [For Group market rules:] These final regulations for the group market apply to group health plans and group health insurance issuers for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2009. [For individual market rules:] These final regulations for the individual market apply with respect to health insurance coverage offered, sold, issued, renewed, in effect, or operated in the individual market on or after January 1, 2009.
