Excerpt: The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled on March 30 that the state's marriage evasion statute adopted in 1913 is constitutional and bars issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples from out-of-state if their home state's laws forbid same-sex marriages.
