What ERISA obligation/requirement, if any, is there for a multiemployer plan to provide annual (or other) estimates of withdrawal liability to employers?

ERISA section 101(l)

Thanks, Bill.

I know that some multiemployer plans provide an annual estimate as a matter of course. How common is such an approach in the grand scheme of MEPs?

In my experience, it is not common for a plan to automatically mail out the estimate. For plans with lots of contributing employers, it could be expensive to automatically mail out the estimate.
