Are SEP plans subject to the PPA 06 quarterly benefit statement requirements?

Generally, SEPs follow the alternate disclosure rules; if so, quarterly statements not required.

The legislative history of the 1978 tax act which established SEPs states that after contributions were made by the employer, the rules for IRAs would apply.
