This year's Grey Book from the EA meeting had several questions on optional forms and I believe at least one of those questions referenced final regs under 411(d)(6) - does anyone know how you search for these regs ? - I tried on the CCH website to no avail ???

Is there an internet site where us non-actuaries can get the Grey Book Q&As?

You can purchase it at the CCA link given by Effen. I'm not aware of any link that will allow you to read the Q&As. These messge boards contain more than a few references, including a few quotes. Try searching, but you will be more successful using "gray" than "grey". (The former is the correct spelling.)

QUOTE (GBurns @ Apr 2 2006, 06:07 PM)

thanks ; these regs (ie. 1.411(d)-4 in particular ) have a date of 2005 on them ; I got the impression that there ae more recent ones - also, there's terminology such as "core" path ??

I can only suggest that you try a Google search and a search of the IRS website. You might find something later or relevant by looking at this list:

If you are looking for the Gray Book on an IRS website, remember that the IRS does not own it. (It is possible that they have permission to publish it, but ownership belongs to the Enrolled Actuaries Meeting.)

From the OP I think that he is just looking for the latest "version" of Treas Regs 1.411(d)-4 and 1.411(d)6.

For core and non-core options, etc., try the proposed and final regs under 1.411(d)-3.
