what is a non qualified employer contribution ?
Thanks
WDIK
In a 401(k) setting I've heard the terms non-elective contribution and qualified non-elective contribution. Could you mean one of these?
E as in ERISA
Or is there a nonqualified plan that is operated in connection with the qualified plan? A nonqualified plan kicks in when an executive exceeds some limit in the qualified plan? A wrap plan, spillover plan, etc.

Thanks, for your responses, this is a qualified 401(k) plan but only has service requirements for 401(k)and Match and non qualified employer contribution but no service requirements for a PS contribution, yet it has an integrated formula. I am at a loss......

The additional information is appreciated, but the terminology "non qualified" you are using is still ambiguous. Please refer to the summary plan description or other plan documentation to get the exact name of the contribution type in question. These boards should be able to help you much easier with that information.

I agree that it is ambiguous but the plan document or the SPD does not help
me.
