Full Version: Pensioners rights to plan documents

ERISA Plans are covered under provisions allowing plan participants the right to request plan documents for their own review. Is anyone aware of such provisions under gov. plans?
Ralph Amadio
Gary, don't know what State you are in, but California has stringent rules as to documents, individual statements, etc. Don't necessarily look for them in retirement sections however, check trust law, state treasury requirements, Controller requirements, insurance code, labor law and even "freedom of information" requirements as applicable under your State law. No applicable laws that I am aware of at the federal level, except for Health and Welfare Cafeteria type plans.
