Can a C-Corp with two 50% owners and no other employees file a Form 5500-EZ?? Pursuant to instructions of line 7b, I'm having doubts. Thanks.

"Who May File" is on page 1 of the instructions.

so would you say that two 50% owners of a corp does not fit the "partners of a business partnership" criteria??
Belgarath
Right. They aren't eligible for EZ filing, unless they are spouses.

I would recommend they marry each other for ease of filing reasons. Perhaps after time they will grow to love each other.

Maybe if they were from California, that might work, otherwise i don't think it's going to happen. (Just kidding)

It is my understanding that you may file the EZ. The instructions say yes if certain criteria are met. One of those criteria are "the plan covers one or more partners"

Stacy, the original poster indicated that the entity in question was a C-Corp, not a partnership. Hence, the participants in this case are not "partners".
