Has anyone built or are you using a web site to enroll participants in a health plan, change beneficiaries, change addresses, etc.?
How did you go about building the site? how long have you been using it? What has worked and what hasn't?

I've never been involved in doing that, but I know of a company that does that for other businesses. Contact Dennis Rainey at dennis_rainey@btabta.com.

I have been using a home-grown web site for open enrollment for the past year with great success. We also use a home-grown IVR system that has been in operation for the past 8 years. Of the 3,000 open enrollment transactions that occurred during the most recent open enrollment period, about 500 chose the web option for making their elections. The comments left by employees using the web were very positive. I would highly recommend this approach. The web is a natural tool for enrollment, communications and benefit maintenance purposes.
