I am looking for sources to interview for 2 articles:
1. What will employee benefits look like 20 or so years from now and what national trends will help shape benefit plans?

2. More companies are beefing up their benefits for part-timers. Identify best practices---how to go about beefing up benefits, how to critique what you're already offering, etc.

As to where benefits will be in 20 years, I would recommend you contact Dallas Salisbury in DC. I believe that the name of the organization that he heads is the Employee Benefits Research Institute. (It is a think tank. He is a Washington "insider" and speaks frequently on benefits topics. He is one of the most popular speakers around on these topics.)

best practices, benchmarking part-timers, etc. - i'd suggest going to one of the big consulting firms like hewitt, mercer, wyatt, etc.

Your best source will be one who resonates with your target publications' readership. While Dallas Salisbury's tops, & the consulting firms mentioned are first-rate, neither may mean anything to your audience(s).

Are you writing for a general or special interest publication? For business generalists or specialists? Audience demographics? Fill us in on some of those particulars & you'll have a) better subjects to interview & b) better stories.
