An employee here has medical/dental insurance for her and her husband through our company. Her husband is a professional football player, a rookie. But he has been offered free medical/dental coverage for him and his wife. What this employee is wondering is if he gets traded, gets cut during the season and moves to another team and no longer has coverage or is off for 2 months, will she be able to come back to coverage here whenever these situations occur. I'm thinking she would be able to because its a loss of coverage.

Deb: You are correct. Loss of coverage would be a triggering event for a change of status.
