My employer is considering buying new software for HRIS, given our recent rapid growth. We are now a company of 200 Ees and still growing. Can anyone provide feedback on ABRA, ADP and other software that is working well/not effective/easy to use/good or bad customer support/comprehensive for payroll and benefits/easy for data entry/etc.?

Has your company considered the Accelerated HR module in SAP R/3? SAP has recently made some inroads into the smaller business market. They provide a product call Certified Business Solutions (CBS) that is targeted for smaller businesses. If you would like more information, feel free to e-mail me at jstyer@gt.com.

I am currently helping my users evaluate ADP offerings, and I would be very happy to discuss each other's findings, particularly those related to Enterprise 2000. Please contact me at (516) 296-9253 or ischuss@lsyna.com.

By the way, I managed an ASAP implementation of SAP for HR, Payroll and Benefits, and we went live in 9 months. I found this methodology most helpful. In fact, I am certified in it from SAP.

Marlene:

There are so many different providers out there! I have just co-authored a piece for IHRIM (International Human Resourse Information Managers) which appears in their Go-To-Guide. I also presented some of this same material at their spring conference last year. If you check out the IHRIM site (www.ihrim.org), I believe there are links to the presentation materials for the 2001 spring conference. The title of my presentation was "The ABC's of the RFP".

If you are unable to access the presentation there, please let me know and I'd be happy to send you a copy via e-mail!
