I am currently trying to locate an organization that offers detailed training on 457(B) Plans. Does anyone know of any in the Southern California area?

I haven't seen one that offers training solely on 457(B) plans. ALI-ABA does an annual conference focused on plans of tax-exempt and governmental organizations, which is available either in-person (unfortunately, only in Washington, DC) or through audiotapes and course materials. It is normally given in September, although the one for 2001 was delayed until December due to the September 11 events.

Try McKay Hochman. Their instructors include Erisa attorney's, CPAs, CFPs and other professionals with years of experiance in banking, securities, and benefit consulting. They do customized in-house seminars which include 457 plans. Topics that could be discussed: Erisa considerations; design options; tax implications; Funding arrangements; documentation and IRS approval; Coordination with Qualified Plans.

To arrange a meeting call 973-492-1880.
