I am currently living in California and I am thinking of creating a living trust to avoid probate. I have so many questions that I don’t know where to begin. I know I need to talk to a lawyer, but not really sure which one. I have already searched online and found, San Diego Estate Center and Morgan Stanley, but I don’t know who to speak with. How do you find a good lawyer for living wills and trusts? I live in Southern California and would love recommendations!

For starters, I would contact the local Bar Association for your County, or the State Bar Assoc.

So you don't recommend contacting a San Diego Trust Attorney?? What benefits would you suggest are from contacting a local Bar Association verse an attorney?

You asked how you can find a good attorney who handles wills and trusts, and I suggested contacting your local Bar Association because they can refer you to estate planning attorneys. If you are looking for names, that's one place to go.

Otherwise, check with friends and business associates for referrals based on their own experiences with a particular lawyer.
