Can I transfer stock in amount of $500. to a Roth Educational IRA for a grandchild?

All contributions must be in CASH. Also, an Education IRA is not a Roth IRA. They are two separate vehicles with different rules for each. Both however, require CASH only contributions.

What would be the best way to set up an educational account for a grandchild?
